The Healthcare Coalition Cooperative (HCC) (www.hccwi.com) is a Wisconsin corporation established in 1991. The vision of the HCC is to foster an environment in which Member Employers can share in the development and access of high quality and cost effective employee benefit programs and services.
The HCC membership represents 12 employers in the Manitowoc County area, with approximately 5,000 employee lives, and growing. Member Employers receive access to programs and services at discounted prices that are not typically available outside the HCC in the Manitowoc area. Current programs include access to a patient advocacy program like no other in the community, ASO dental services with a dental network offering up to a 12% discount on claims, and preferred access to WisconsinRx, a premier pharmacy benefits manager.
The HCC continues development of their product portfolio. They continue to evaluate the marketplace for group purchasing opportunities for Member Employers. Based on Member Employer needs, the HCC meets with vendors that are interested in providing group purchasing programs and services.
In August 2008, the HCC partnered with Holy Family Memorial and began offering the EasyCare clinic. EasyCare provides Member Employers the opportunity to direct employees and their families to a clinic for specific basic health care at a dramatically reduced cost.
In addition, the HCC Provider Network Committee (PNC) is responsible for exploring provider network partnership opportunities. They routinely meet with area providers to keep abreast of changes occurring in the local marketplace.
The HCC holds monthly board meetings for which all Member Employers currently have a seat. Updates regarding ongoing activities are discussed. In addition, guest speakers are routinely invited to attend the meetings to provide benefits education.
